MOBILE, Ala. — The
Clark Atlanta Panthers won their fourth-straight game on Wednesday evening, rolling to a commanding 68-44 victory over
Spring Hill College at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
Clark Atlanta (11-4, 5-2 SIAC) set the tone early, building a 21-9 lead after the first quarter. The Panthers showcased their depth and defensive tenacity throughout the contest, forcing 21 turnovers and converting them into 22 points. Their relentless pressure was complemented by a balanced offensive attack, with standout performances from
Corriana Evans and
Atreonia Garner.
Evans registered a double-double, tallying 17 points and 11 rebounds while controlling the paint. Garner paced the Panthers' offense with a game-high 19 points on an efficient 7-of-10 shooting from the field, including 5-for-8 at the free-throw line. Garner also contributed five rebounds and two steals.
Clark Atlanta dominated inside, outscoring the Badgers 40-16 in the paint and capitalizing on fast-break opportunities to the tune of 19 points. Their bench also provided a critical boost, adding 21 points to the effort.
Spring Hill (5-10, 4-4 SIAC) struggled to find an offensive rhythm against the Panthers' aggressive defense. The Badgers shot just 15.4% from beyond the arc and were out-rebounded 48-45. Marta Duda led Spring Hill with 13 points and three rebounds, while Kellyn Hunter added eight points and six boards.
Despite the Badgers' attempts to close the gap in the second half, Clark Atlanta maintained their composure, extending their lead to 24 points by the final buzzer.
