Edward Waters Sweeps Albany State in Dominant Home Victory

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Edward Waters University women's volleyball team put together a complete performance on Thursday night, earning a 3–0 sweep (27–25, 27–25, 25–15) over the Albany State Golden Rams inside the Adams-Jenkins Complex. The win showcased the Lady Tigers' control in all phases of the match as they continued their strong play on their home court.

Setter Autumn James orchestrated the offense with precision, recording a double-double of 32 assists and 10 digs, while also adding four service aces to spark EWU's attack.

Outside hitter Norah Laurore turned in another standout performance, leading the way with 14 kills, nine digs, and four blocks, pacing the Lady Tigers on both sides of the net. Naomy Vergez added 11 kills and six digs, while Skylar Fick contributed a strong all-around effort with six kills, four aces, and two blocks.

Edward Waters showed resilience in the opening two sets, edging Albany State in tightly contested 27–25 victories before closing out the match in dominant fashion with a 25–15 win in the third. The Lady Tigers' balance, serving pressure, and defensive discipline proved too much for the visiting Golden Rams.

With the win, the Lady Tigers continue to build momentum as they hit the road for a weekend swing in South Carolina. EWU will face Benedict College on Saturday before taking on Allen University on Sunday in Columbia.
