Spring Hill Finishes SIAC West Cluster Undefeated

FRANKFORT, Ky. — The Spring Hill College volleyball team finished a perfect weekend at the SIAC West Division Cluster with a pair of 3-0 sweeps against Lane and Central State on Saturday.
 
The Badgers (11-5, 8-0 SIAC) swept Lane 25-12, 25-15, 25-7 to start the day. Spring hill hit .369 while holding the Dragons to -.052 offense.
 
SHC finished the weekend undefeated after blanking Central State 25-15, 25-18, 25-17. The win over the Marauders put Head Coach Peggy Martin at a total of 1,499 career wins.

MATCH NOTES
  • Claire Hayes led both matches offensively with 12 kills against the Dragons and 10 against the Marauders.
  • Ashlyn Whiteside led the Lane match with a career-high eight service aces.
  • Hayley Hillman tallied a match-leading four total blocks against the Dragons.
  • Monica Vargo totaled 43 assists on the day, 22 against Lane and 21 against CSU.

The Badgers look to give Coach Martin her 1,500th career win when they take on Benedict to kick off the SIAC Volleyball Crossover II on Friday at 9 a.m. (CT).
