ATLANTA —
Spring Hill College (26-5, 19-0 SIAC) will make its seventh-consecutive NCAA Division II Women’s Volleyball Championship appearance after earning the No. 8 seed in the South Region, the NCAA announced Monday during its annual selection show.
Following an undefeated regular-season conference slate, Spring Hill captured the SIAC championship title and secured the league’s automatic qualifier. The Badgers are set to face top-seeded Tampa in the opening round of regional play on Thursday, Dec. 4, at the Bob Martinez Athletics Center on TU’s campus.
This year’s 64-team championship field includes 23 automatic qualifiers and 41 at-large selections chosen by the NCAA Division II Women’s Volleyball Committee. Each regional site seeded teams Nos. 1 through 8. All regional matches will be single-elimination, best-of-five sets, and no third-place match will be played.
The eight regional champions will advance to the finals, Dec. 11–13, at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Matches at the finals site will also be single-elimination, best-of-five sets.
