Spring Hill Falls to No. 1 Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. The Spring Hill College volleyball team fell 3-0 to No. 1-seeded Tampa in the opening round of the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Championship at the Martinez Center on Thursday.
 
In their seventh-straight NCAA tournament appearance, the No. 8-seeded Badgers (26-6) faced off against an undefeated Spartan (29-0) squad.
 
Spring Hill kept things close to start in the opening set but was quickly gapped by Tampa. In the end, the Spartans swept SHC 3-0.

MATCH NOTES
Claire Hayes and Jaylyne Bell led the Spring Hill offense with eight kills apiece.
Haile Hallmon paced the Badgers with two service aces.
Monica Vargo guided the SHC attack with a match-leading 19 assists.
Ashlyn Whiteside anchored the Spring Hill back court with eight digs.
