Clark Atlanta improves to 4-3 overall and 3-2 in SIAC play

ATLANTA Clark Atlanta secured their third-straight victory on Saturday afternoon as they took down the Spring Hill Badgers, 86-76, inside the friendly confines of L.S. Epps Gymnasium. Jadyn Shider poured in a game-high 19 points on the way to the Panthers' fourth victory of the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Panthers started off slow, facing an early 8-2 deficit before using a 12-2 run to jump in front, 14-10, at the under-16 media timeout.
  • The Badgers battled back to bring it within six points, but the Panthers closed out the first half on a 7-3 run to stay in command, 44-34, headed into the intermission.
  • Chase Hill and Kalen White combined for seven points in the first two minutes of the second half to extend Clark Atlanta's lead to 17 points (51-34) with 18:23 left to play in regulation.
  • Spring Hill continued to show life as they outscored Clark Atlanta 35-19 in a 10-minute span to cut the margin to one point (70-69) with 7:46 left to play. 
  • The Panthers held on to win, 86-46, after Jaden Martin chipped in 10 clutch points in the final minutes.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • Jadyn Shider led all scorers with a game-high 19 points and 13 rebounds for his first double-double in a CAU uniform. 
  • Jaden Martin added 18 of his own points with nine rebounds, followed by Ny'Mire Little with 13 points. 
UP NEXT
The Panthers return to action on Thursday, Dec. 11 as they hit the road to face Central State at 7:30 p.m. inside Beacom Lewis Gym.
