Panthers win second-straight at home

ATLANTA — Chase Hill lit up the Golden Rams with a season-high 22-point performance in a crucial win over Albany State on Thursday evening inside L.S. Epps Gymnasium. With the win, the Panthers get back to .500 with a 3-3 record overall and 2-2 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
  • Both teams traded blows in the opening frame before the Golden Rams were able to pull away for a 10-point lead (29-19) with 5:51 left in the first half.
  • Jadyn Shider knocked down a free throw to close out the first half as the Panthers headed into the intermission facing a 37-33 deficit.
  • The Panthers opened the second half on a 25-12 run to jump in front of the Golden Rams by nine points (58-49) with 12 minutes left to play in regulation.
  • Hill and Darnell Evans combined for 14 of Clark's final 28 points down the stretch to blow out the Golden Rams by 20 points.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE 
  • Four Panthers scored in double figures led by Chase Hill with 22, followed by Jadyn Shider with 15, Darnell Evans with 14, and Ny'Mire Little with 10 in the win.
  • Chase Hill led all scorers with a game and season-high 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field and four rebounds.
  • Kharye Cayne protected the paint with a season-high five blocks and seven boards.
  • Clark Atlanta shot a season-high 47% percent from the field, 37.5% from long range, and an even 80% from the foul line.
  • Clark Atlanta outscored Albany State down low with 44 points in the paint compared to the Golden Rams' 30. The Panthers also outrebounded ASU 42-38 on the night.
