SIAC Baseball Weekly Honors: March 4

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Baseball Players of the Week on Tuesday, March 4, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week. Scott Williams (Tuskegee) and Korey Bunselmeyer (Spring Hill) were recognized.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – SCOTT WILLIAMS, TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY
Infield/Catcher | Senior | Atlanta, Ga.
Williams, a power-hitting force in the lineup, delivered one of the most dominant offensive performances of the season. The slugger erupted at the plate, finishing the series 4-for-8 with three home runs and nine RBIs. His ability to drive in runs and deliver in crucial moments was evident, as he highlighted his weekend with a two-home run, six-RBI game in the series finale, leading Tuskegee to a commanding 17-7 victory. Williams not only showcased his power with deep shots to left field but also demonstrated discipline at the plate, drawing a walk and scoring four times. His offensive production provided a significant boost for the Golden Tigers, setting the tone for a lineup that capitalized on key scoring opportunities throughout the weekend.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK – KOREY BUNSELMEYER, SPRING HILL COLLEGE
Pitcher | R-Senior | Ava, Ill.
Bunselmeyer delivered a standout performance in the 7-1 win against Edward Waters on Saturday. He tossed 7.2 innings, yielding a single run on five hits with no walks and seven strikeouts.
