SIAC Women's Track and Field Weekly Honors: April 8

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Women's Track and Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday, April 8, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in meets last week. An'Janae Latchinson (Tuskegee) and Diamond Richardson (Fort Valley State) were recognized.

WOMEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – AN'JANAE LATCHINSON, TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY
Junior | Terry, Miss.
Latchinson finished second in both the 100-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles last week. She clocked 13.97 in the 100 hurdles, ranking No. 6 on the NCAA Division II list and No. 15 among all HBCUs, while also meeting the NCAA qualifying standard. In the 400 hurdles, she earned the No. 5 spot on the NCAA list and stands at No. 2 among all HBCUs, again meeting the NCAA qualifying standard. Latchinson also finished third in the 200 with a time of 24.59, narrowly missing her personal best.

WOMEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – DIAMOND RICHARDSON, FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY
Senior | St. Louis, Missouri
Richardson had three top-three finishes in the Legends Invitational last week. She added another impressive discus performance with a first-place finish at 44.06m. Richardson also finished third in the shot put at 13.07m and placed third in the hammer throw at 45.80m.
