ORANGEBURG, S.C. — The
Benedict College women's volleyball team won their third straight match, taking a 3-1 victory over Claflin on Tuesday night.
Benedict won the match 25-12, 22-25, 25-14, 25-17 to improve to 3-0 on the season. Claflin falls to 0-2.
Freshman
Mia Burgess, named SIAC Newcomer of the Week earlier on Tuesday, continued her hot play with a team-high 10 kills.
Desire' Young added nine kills, hitting .538, and added a pair of blocks.
Jadyn Murry had 15 assists, while
Willow Alls, the reigning SIAC Setter of the Week, added 14 assists and had a team-high nine digs.
The Lady Tigers travel to Salisbury, N.C. on Sept. 17 to take on Livingstone College at 6 p.m.
