WILBERFORCE, Ohio —
Central State University dropped its home matchup on Saturday afternoon, falling in three sets to Fisk University (25-15, 25-22, 25-18) inside Beacom/Lewis Gymnasium. With the loss, the Marauders move to 1-1 on the season, while Fisk improves to 7-4.
MATCH RECAP
Fisk opened strong in the first set, using a .273 hitting percentage to establish control early, while limiting CSU to just .100 on the attack. Central responded with more rhythm in the second set, tallying 14 kills and hitting .216, but the Bulldogs closed out late to take a 2-0 advantage. In the third, Fisk sealed the sweep with another efficient offensive showing and timely defensive stops.
MARAUDER LEADERS
Central State finished the match with 32 kills on a .156 hitting percentage, highlighted by the balanced play of Reese and Hendricks on the outside. Defensively, Holston anchored the back row with a team-high 12 digs.
