ALBANY, Ga. — The Central State men's basketball team continued its strong surge on Saturday afternoon, earning its third win in the last four games and second victory of the road trip with a 73–66 win over Albany State at The Arena at West Campus.
Central State (6-7, 5-6 SIAC) was once again fueled by a big performance from Ramar Pryor, who poured in a game-high 24 points on an efficient 9-of-14 shooting night. Pryor added four steals and was a steady presence throughout, helping the Marauders maintain control from start to finish.
The game opened tightly contested, with the teams locked at 32–32 at halftime, but Central State asserted itself in the second half. The Marauders shot 54.2 percent from the floor after the break and knocked down five of six three-pointers, creating separation during key stretches.
Micah Bays provided a major scoring boost with 16 points, including three triples, while Javantae Randle recorded a strong all-around effort with 11 points, nine rebounds, and three steals. Khalil Luster chipped in nine points and seven assists, helping orchestrate an offense that finished with 15 assists on 28 made field goals.
Central State's interior play proved decisive, outscoring Albany State 42–24 in the paint and converting 18 second-chance points. The Marauders also capitalized on turnovers, turning defensive pressure into 26 points off turnovers.
Albany State (7-7, 6-4 SIAC) was led by Cameron Evans' 23 points, but the Golden Rams were limited to just 36.7 percent shooting in the second half, as Central State's defense tightened down the stretch.
With the win, the Marauders continue to build momentum in conference play, showing growth, resilience, and balance on both ends of the floor as they move deeper into the SIAC schedule.
