HOW IT HAPPENED
- Miles College bolted ahead quickly, outscoring the Panthers 17-11 to in the first frame
- The Panthers fought back after a slow start, being held scoreless for the first three minutes of the second quarter, fighting back to end the half facing a 41-32 deficit.
- Kyara Lawrence and Janiah Ellis lead the offensive comeback in the third, with a combined 19 points, climbing out of their scoring rut, giving them the lead 60-56, going into the final ten minutes of the game.
- The fourth quarter saw three ties and three lead changes, before the foul-heavy Bears gave the Panthers three chances on the line, Trinity Jones putting a nail in the coffin with her pair to close out the game, 85-81
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Four Lady Panthers found themselves in double scoring figures, leading the offense front were Janiah Ellis with 15, Atreonia Garner with 12, Trinity Jones, and Kyara Lawrence's cherry-on-top 33 points.
- Trinity Jones dished out a career-high of seven assists, Shawn Tate recorded a block, and Atreonia Garner grabbed six rebounds.
- Aanisah Moncrief was flawless from the free-throw line, going 4-4 from the charity stripe.
- The Lady Panthers shot a game-high from the free throw line, shooting 69-percent, while also creating 27 turnovers and converting them into 34 points.
