ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Men’s Track and Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday, March 31, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in meets last week.

MEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – ISSIAH SIMMS, TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY
Senior | York, Pa.
Simms turned in a standout distance performance at the Morehouse Relays, capturing first place in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:50.54. He followed with another victory in the 5000 meters, crossing the line in 16:04.03. Simms added a strong effort in the 1500 meters, finishing in 4:14.80. His two event wins and strong range across distance events highlighted a dominant weekend for Tuskegee.
MEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – BRENT PRIESTER, TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY
Freshman | McDonough, Ga.
Priester delivered an outstanding performance in the jumps at the Morehouse Relays, winning the triple jump with a mark of 14.49 meters (47-6.5). He also placed fourth in the long jump with a mark of 6.72 meters (22-0.75). Priester’s performance provided Tuskegee with a key event victory while demonstrating strength and consistency across multiple jumping events.
